My company develops both Wix and Wordpress sites and one of the biggest missing features that you have with popular WordPress themes like Divi (Elegant Themes) and Elementor are what they call theme builders to edit specific pages or groups of pages.
The image above shows off the Divi theme builder and how you can use it. As you can see, you can use this to design static pages like the 404 page or select individual pages to remove or add a different type of header/footer to it. You can also use this to edit groups of pages like all blog posts, blog category pages, and not shown in this image, product pages, and more.
This is similar to the dynamic pages we already have available but the missing part is being able to build a dynamic page template and then individually modify select pages. As an example, it’s nearly impossible to add unique elements like FAQ’s and other elements to a product page because they will be shown on all products and not all elements can be connected to a dataset. If we had the ability to modify individual dynamic pages while still keeping the power and convenience of current dynamic page options, we would be able to achieve more unique and custom designs which would help balance the lack of design options when it comes to apps like Wix Stores.
I would expect this capability to be available for all dynamic pages whether they are custom or made via Wix apps. It would be great when editing a specific page if it can inherit the design of the main dynamic page template but we would have the ability to modify it by removing existing elements or adding new ones. Again these design changes would not be displayed on any other page in the dynamic page category.
