ADA Compliance Violation Liability

Question:

I am using UserWay to support my understanding of our ADA posture. I also do have the Wix ADA Compliance Widget turned on; however, there are several issues that - even with configuration in Wix - I am unable to resolve, including:

  • The way Wix structures carousel images and <alt links means there are duplicative image links inserted into the DOM (violation)
  • For some form styles, regardless of configuration, keyboard focus support is not recognized.

Who is responsible for this, legally? I could very easily change my site to accommodate a different form format (assuming that works), but the alt image link issue is pervasive (not just isolated to carousels).

Product:

I am editing through the Wix Website Editor (that is how the site was originally created); not through Wix studio.

I also have the same question regarding Wix’s limitations with ADA compliance. Bumping for visibility.
