Anyone know if it is possible to create “add on” items in #wixstore? I’d like to have users add something to their cart and at checkout have the option to purchase gift wrapping.

how is there no follow up on this? this is a very basic feature that should be available for all e-commerce platforms. there should be options to add gift wrapping, as well as adding a card.

This is crazy! Wix have a lot of things but this is basic! I hope they’ll have that on soon. I have already voted for a few things thats needs adding!

There is a work around for this. In the product option instead (for example) small, medium large, you can state gift wrapping service, and then put Yes or No. You are then able to add the extra fee under yes by sliding - Manage pricing and inventory for variants on.
You will have to put this on all items you can gift wrap. Hope this helps
This could work, but not efficiently. When you add options for example: Title Gift Wrap? then options - Yes ($$) or no (no charge). You will have to add inventory for how many yeses someone can click (which is ok) but you also have to add inventory for the “no” option, this means that event if the product is out of stock, it will show stock because the no is still there! it just complicated! Wix needs to create a specific function for this. I hope that explains the issue
I agree, its not perfect but its a quick fix for a solution that we need to offer. It would of course be a nightmare for larger distributers to keep track of stock and may cause an issuing on the reporting side, but we are small enough so we can put a figure in the no section so that it doesn’t look like the item is out of stock and still keep track of our inventory. It’s a work around that may help some but obviously its not a complete solution. Hopefully Wix will fix this ASAP so we can add it properly.
