@kyangwalinews Please can you make a video tutorial?
Next: Rename the function http-functions.js (not understand)
Thank you
It’s been about 5 days. Still waiting for Google to clear my adsense account. Don’t want to mislead people but, so far no progress. Just being honest.
One question? Do you need to add the ads.txt file as a TXT in the wix dashboard and domain DNS ? I have it there for a while now and now I tried the steps described above but after days of waiting the error is still there.Should I remove the details from the DNS TXT part? Thank you
@harikrishram24 Your lucky it’s been 5 days for me and no progress. Just being honest.
Truth be told this process is not working for me either it’s been about 5 days now. Just being honest don’t want to mislead you.
@renorasims Thanks for your honesty hard to find these days.
wix support says that currently is not possible to fix this no matter what…
I fixed mine ))
Everything with WIX is broken. Even this forum when you go to edit a word the cursor jumps all over the place. It does the same exact thing as my forum on my website that I’ve been complaining to them about for the past 3-4 month.
Wix support doesn’t have a clue in their head what they’re even talking about. I had one technician tell me that this doesn’t affect ads or ad revenue,Google only suggests it, that’s not what Google told me, they told me I will have a sevre impact of AD revenue if we do not place this ads.txt file in the root directory. I can verify this because my ad revenue has plummeted over the last 8 months since moving to WIX.
Implementing this Corvid script to the back end doesn’t work either. I’ve noticed that other members their ads.txt file are working for some odd reason after someone announced they did a July update and they even removed the backend file and it still works. My take on this is it doesn’t work for people that have a YouTube and AdSense account connected. I thought it might have been because Adwords so I connected my adword account and it still does not work.
@yannickmoy123 How did you fix yours do share.
There’s some people on here where it actually works for, but no one is sharing that information. Not sure why…Completely puzzled.
@apparel They did nothing to fix it. Supposedly from what I’ve read, WIX did a July update and it fixed some peoples issues. The ones it seems to have fixed are the people that had their site set up with AdWords. I don’t see this to be true because I connected my AdWords account and it didn’t change a thing. Still no www.mysite.com/ads.txt …just get a ,404 error.
How ever I was able to creat the /_functions/Adstxt back end and going to www.mysite.com /_functions/Adstxt worked fine and shows my Google pin ID. The only problem is using a 301 redirect from ads.txt to /_functions/Adstxt does not work and shows a 404 error page does not exist. I believe WIX blocked this once the Corvid users started implementing it. It did work at one point. WIX is avoiding the blame by saying you don’t need ads.txt because they do not want to allow people to have full control of their sites. No Http access, not root domain access ect.
I have added the publishing ID with this method and its successfully worked in a minute. Thank you very much! Now please tell me if i want to add multiple publishing Ids of adsense or if i want to add infolink Ids. Please if anyone help regarding this issue will be highly appreciated.
No it is not like that!
can you advice if you added the file to the dns part in dashboard->advanced as well or only by the code?
@mels_design i dont think it is good or safe to change settings there (dns) without knowing exactly the consequences. be careful.
@shimistudio Hi.long time before ,with the old wix blog,i have added the ads.txt to the dns TXT part, the code is still there now,I have followed the tutorial but it is not working for me,I was wondering if i should delete the pub id from the dns part maybe than will work.Wix had a tutorial while before of how to add a TXT to the root of the domain,so I have added it back than following this tutorial.what do you suggest?
@mels_design wix did some changes lately, so i don’t have a smart advice, sorry :\
I HAVE THE FIX!!!
SPECIAL THANKS TO A MAN NAMED MAX WHO WORKS FOR WIX!!
FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR PUB ID WHEN YOU GO TO Https://www.mysite.com/ads.txt
Add the Adsense verification script in the header code of your site.
This is how a verification script should look:
Follow The Steps Below…
-
Copy the script above.
-
Replace the XXXXXX with your publisher ID:
-
Go to Tracking and Analytics (under site settings in the editor) and click “New Tool” > “Custom”
-
Paste the script in the box for the code snippet and click “save”.
-
Go to mysite.com/ads.txt and you should see the file. It may take up to 24 hours to work.
This is correct and up to date answer!! Thanks!
