Hi - urgently need some help & advice here. I have already built and published my website www.airaresidence.com. I thought I could duplicate the website, then manually change the english text into another language (mandarin) plus the videos (which we already translated). I need this duplicate website to be under the same domain, then I can create buttons (which is linked to duplicate mandarin version site) in the menu bar to switch languages when clicked on.
I duplicated the website but then I am requested to add a new domain & pay for another premium plan when I already purchased one. However, the main issue here I need this duplicate site to be under airaresidence.com/mandarin/home and so on for each page.
Anyone here can please advise me URGENTLY. I need to have this completed before 15th October and I have all the text & videos already translated.
@debs , I’ve been waiting for someone more knowledgeable to propose a solution, because mine is a bit kludgy. My best idea is to duplicate each page and develop separate headers and footers and navigation buttons for each page’s language version.
“In the meantime, you can duplicate your site pages and translate the content manually into additional languages. Remember to add buttons that link to the same page in other languages to allow site visitors to easily switch language.”
There might also be solutions using Velo to modify navigation according to the user’s language selection, but that’s outside my skill set.
@jim75924 thanks for the tips. I have gone ahead to create a duplicate of each page then adding the translated text to replace the english text. I will then create a button on the welcome page in each language, which will then direct them to that language version of the website.
