Beta Unlocked: Google Data Studio Integration!

We are releasing an update today in response to your feedback and infrastructure issues.
This update will affect how you work with Google Data Studio integration. Please see the instructions below.

Which changes affect you?

  1. Schema renaming: The schema structure was changed from [your_site_name][predefined.page_views] to [your_site_name][wix_site_data.page_views]

  2. Column names have changed in all tables. The change affects all the default data. The underscore prefix (‘_’) was changed to ‘wix_site’. For example: ‘_city’ is now to ‘wix_site_city’.

What actions do you need to take?:

If you were using the provided ‘My Wix Site’ report (‘Pageviews’ report) unchanged , follow the steps below to create a new data connector, based on the updated tables:

  1. In the search bar enter ‘Wix Site Data’ and click Select .

  2. Choose [your_site_name][wix_site_data.page_views] from the dropdown.

  3. Select the checkbox to use a report template to display your site data in Google Data Studio.

  4. Click Connect in the top right corner.

  5. Click Create Report in the top right corner.

If you created a custom report or made changes to the provided ‘My Wix Site’ report (‘Pageviews’ report), follow the steps below to edit the data source on your existing report and replace invalid dimensions with valid ones:

  2. Click EDIT in the top right corner

  3. Select File > Report settings

  4. In the Report Settings panel, click Select Data Source

  6. Choose a table from the dropdown.

  7. Click Connect in the top right corner.

  8. Click Add To Report in the top right corner.

  9. If prompted, click Add to report .

  10. Invalid dimensions or metrics marked in red are the result of changes in the column name prefixes. To fix this error, click the invalid metric and choose a valid one from the dropdown list. When the error is fixed the dimension or metric will be colored green and the ‘Invalid Dimension’ error will be resolved.
