These look great but I can’t get them to work. When I click on the layouts or design button, nothing happens. I’ve closed and reopened the editor and also restarted my machine. Any ideas?

There is indeed an issue there. It’s not your PC.

We’re on it, and will have it fixed as soon as possible.

@sara & Chris - things should be back to normal now.

Hi Robert, realistically, we’re still probably a couple of months away from full readiness to replace the existing button.

You can expect features that get us closer to that point to be rolled out over the next 2 weeks or so, including Mobile and the Corvid / WixData APIs.

@arnonk i think i found a bug.

When duplicating a button, i remove the previous link from the link settings UI but it doesn’t actually do it although it looks like it has, i refresh the editor and the link it still intact.

Thanks for the bug report. I couldn’t reproduce the issue as you described it.
Could you send a link to the site where this encountered the bug?
After deleting the address did you set the link panel to ‘None’?

@arnon Hi. Im finding that if I try to edit the button and click the hover state for a button it reverts back to the static state. These are buttons that are pinned. Wasnt sure if this is a known issue so thought I’d mention. Thanks.

it’s a known issue, and we plan to address it with a feature that enables setting the hover and regular state to be the same, so u can start with a look that fots your site and make small edits to it.

I may be a bit late to the party but I finally got around to use the new beta buttons and here’s a few things I noticed:

  1. I am not sure if this has been discussed before but when adding animation to the button there seems to be a problem when the page loads. The button appears on page load then the button starts the animation. Please feel free to check out the bug right here https://salman2301.wixsite.com/wix-custom-store

  1. There’s an overlap in “Character Spacing”

  2. Icon color did not change. In the same website I reference above, the icon in the top left corner button is supposed to be orange but appears purple

  1. The last letter of the button text seems to be cut off for some reason:

@arnonk - i have been playing about and testing the New Editor Buttons again and noticed that the mobile version doesn’t have it’s own independent settings, this means whatever i edit on mobile will change on desktop, when do you plan to address this?

Noticed a few more bugs too:

  • Changing Icon Colour doesn’t work
  • Few issues with the panel UI (Text overlapping on character spacing and general design improvements needed).
  • Can’t use gradient on borders which have a radius, why is that?

@arnonk , any updates on this project? Seems to be no major changes to the panel. For example, the desktop settings still affect the mobile settings, etc.

Hi, I have used the new button since its release and noticed few bugs :

  • when we use Corvid : the buttons can’t be affected by the implemented code - out if we include it in a box container. Then we need to target the box container in the code to be able to use it, and even with this, the time response is very long especially when showing and hiding.

  • we can’t use any svg icon with the new button : it works with unstyled svgs only (no border, no color, etc).

  • few things when setting the layout of the new button : we need to play a bit with the margins and the alignments, visually, as they don’t match with the reality.

And today, I can’t even change the design of a new button, the style pannel doesn’t show anymore.
