Blog posts load then drop 200 px

Hello there! Question for the group. The footer of our website contains a gallery of pictures that we have linked to other blog posts on our site, which we’ve done so we can re-order them at will and expand them without loading additional pages. Works really well for what we want to do.

When clicking on the links though the post now loads then drops 200 px or so down from the top of the page, which is very annoying and something we do not want.

This only seems to happen when clicking between post links in the footer, and does not happen when using blog elements (all of which we dislike) or when clicking links from the page above the footer.
