The WIX Booking App does not offer flexibility for Consultants, Web Designers, Designers who sell “Consultation” and “Design Services” and collect partial contractual payments, ie. 1/2 Down; Balance Due Upon Completion or even 1/3rds based upon project progress. Also, the ability to add line items, like client out-of-pocket expenses.
Some designers may or may not want to use the Calendar feature input by clients but may want to use calendar on their own for project billing and tracking. However, the priority is providing a “percentage payment method” and adding “Consulting Services” as the option for this type of method.
Designers and Consultants do schedule our time but not in terms of a few hours or weeks, each project is custom and the hours vary immensely. So, simplify the feature and get more WIX account owners doing payment processing through WIX. Not providing this feature - WIX is losing a lot of money in credit card processing annually. You all can do the math.
Some projects can go on for months. WIX should be taking care of designers since it’s in the website design business. Yes?? Is there another app or will this module be updated soon?
If the developers don’t want to do complex math, then simple payments where a project/service total amount is input and payments are applied as received.
As web designers, we don’t always offer “classes” or “appointments” but do require a method of tracking invoices, estimates, payments, down payments and final payments for our services.
Since web designers help drive WIX business, it may be a good idea to offer this within that module, as it may also drive more web designers to the WIX platform. The services layout is great and it would not take much programming to add the “service / consulting” flexibility to the module.
I have read the instructions online but there doesn’t seem to be a real answer for this.
Please let me know how to get this set-up properly or when this feature will be available. As it is now, I cannot setup online payments properly through the WIX payment system.
