Can WIX come up with two or three premium WIX subscriptions for Partners that bundle up several websites under one plan?
A bit of backstory; I paid for my website www.elbwrits.com on WIX for about a year, and as we all know, the current world we live in requires us to always stay on our toes, thus I started several other businesses that I needed to create websites for. With one website, paying around $150 yearly is fine, but when the websites start piling up, the cost of a yearly subscription can add up and can get expensive depending on the side of the world one lives in.
I sought an option that would allow me to pay one amount and get several websites done, and I came across Readymag. I have used the platform for 3 years to make and host three of my websites www.elbwrits.com , www.writside.com and www.lohofa.com (which I discontinued). I paid around $250 yearly and I could connect 10 domains under that subscription. This gave me a bit of freedom to dream and experiment more. Of course, a few months ago Readymag revised its payment model and now one has to pay $270 and be able to connect just three domains. Which is still a good offer but not like it was before.
I went on to Product Hunt and found another builder, www.dorik.com and they have flexible subscriptions that were affordable to me and I purchased a yearly subscription on the spot. I am currently running only my main business website www.elbwrits.com from there. (It is a bit limited when it comes to feature). In my country, I also have clients who can’t pay the WIX lowest premium subscription per year and I accommodate them on such sites. (Clients I didn’t get through the WIX Marketplace, I can never go against the user agreement).
What I am trying to say is, many partners want to have a portfolio website for WIX site-building but also many of them have other side businesses which they want to try out or are running on the side. Like a photography site for their photography work, an eCommerce site to sell their handmade art etc. But if we were to pay for each of these websites on their own, we would be paying more than $500 or more every year on subscriptions and domains. Which here in Kenya, can be a lot of money.
If WIX could work on a package just for Partners, that is affordable and can make us exploit all the great features WIX has, this would be a game-changer not only for WIX but for us Partners too. All our businesses will be hosted on the platform we love and this is all I want personally. Plus, as partners, we like to tweak and experiment with our sites and this way, we learn new ideas which we can implement on client websites too.
My take:
Give us three to five premium subscriptions covered under one payment for instance; $250 or $350 per year. Depending on the features you bundle on the plan.
There is something about bundling up website plans like this that makes many designers like me just want to pay up, and since the other platforms I have mentioned above are not as powerful and versatile as WIX is, I think WIX will be unstoppable if they ever devise a profitable way to provide Partners or even the millions of WIX users with such a package.
Anyway, I love WIX regardless and I hope to see what the future has in store for us all. You guys are awesome.
