I am a vendor in Canada and wish to integrate Canada Post to my WIX store, to get the cost of shipping and add the amount to the total of my customer’s shopping carts. Does anyone has experience doing this? Please help

I believe WixStores has a feature request for this.

I suggest checking support knowledge base it has a lot of things covered in articles and tutorials or contacting customer support if you don’t find an answer there.

I am interested in Canada Post also. Anyway to link to my Wix site to get shipping rates? I guess we need to populate weight and cube with a Canada post rate flat file. If anyone has information on this it would be great. Failing Canada Post I would entertain the other big Canadian carriers like FedEx, UPS, Purolator.
Please advise.

Canada post provides an API for this, I have Canada Post fully integrated on my site to provide.
- Shipping costs.
- Shipping estimates.
- Label generation
- Order tracking on user’s account
- Return label generation
- Return tracking and reimbursement

overall it’s an easy API ato integrate, you’ll have to make some changes to your store which is where it gets more complex, making the call and parsing the info is easy but calculating the price and letting user to choose options is where it gets more complex

I’m afraid you won’t be able to integrate it directly to wix stores, you’ll have to create your own set up, either using dynamic pages and custom code

@carlosgalvarez I am working on my custom code for Canada Post. Getting the rates listed on checkout seems fairly trivial. For create shipping, do you persist the URL that’s returned in the order? Do I have to make my entire payment process custom? Or can I access the Payment API Does that mean the payments also have to be custom?

Hi there, thank you to everyone who has shared information. I am also trying to add Canada Post shipping rates to my site. I have a Canada Post shipping account and have received the codes needed to integrate Canada Post onto a website.
Can anyone tell me where to input that code on my Wix site? I’m currently using the Corvid editor.

We’re currently working with the Canada Post head of IT, here in Toronto and will be launching an app for Corvid soon. We’re waiting for Wix to release the new feature that allows developers to distribute apps to users. In te meantime if you’re in Toronto feel free to reach out for more info.
There will be a one-time fee to use the App and you must provide your own authentication.
