Categorise Post With Drop Down Menu

Hi guys,

I am trying to categorise my posts with a drop down menu so my clients can find sessions suited to them more easily. I have linked up my drop down menu to the different categories in my data set but am not sure what code I might need to add to it so that the drop down communicates correctly with the posts?

Another way is to use onChange event of dropdown and then set filter with code.
