Change content on page based on key press instead of click OR trigger button on key press instead of click

Dear All,

For my website I would like the content on the page to change ( or to follow the link to an other page) by pressing a key on the keyboard instead of clicking with the mouse. Therefore the cursor does not need to be on the button in order to follow it’s link. Would this be possible?

Said differently:
If my webpage would consist of HOME, ABOUT and CONTACT
when at the HOME page instead of clicking on the ABOUT button and then follow/redirect the link to the ABOUT page, you press 2 on the keyboard and are being redirected then.
And at the HOME page, you press 3 and you are directed to the CONTACT page.
When at ABOUT page you press 1 and you go to HOME
etc…

Is this possible???

This can’t be done since pages have no keyboard event handler.
