Hi, I was wondering If i can make my CMS content show on up in the editor? At the moment I only see blank boxes in the repeaters or the default landscape (or others) images in the editor, when I preview of course the content changes correctly. But can I control the content on the editor somehow? thank you, a.
No, the Editor will not show your CMS content, except in Preview.
ok thank you! wired, since its showing the default images, but not the real content…anyways, thank you
Repeaters can be used two ways. First, they can be used purely for formatting. Any text or images you apply to an item in the editor will display in the editor, in preview, and live.
Second, elements in the repeater can be connected to a dataset. In that case, the dataset content will be used for preview and live display, but the data shown in the editor will be continue to be whatever data was applied via the editor, just as though it weren’t connected to a dataset at all.
Hi Jim, thanks for explaining the details. I still think it would be so much easier to design a site when you would actually see the real CMS content, instead of something else - to me its counter intuitive. Hopefully that’s going to be optimised in the future…
