CMS text not displaying correctly after re-formatting on Editor X

Question:
Hey, community! I was making some updates to my general ‘names’ field in the CMS, and while still editing to reformat the text across a few dynamic pages, everything looked peachy. After pushing to preview my updates in the format, “name | instagramhandle” are displaying as, "name |. "

I’ve manipulated my text scaling and formating settings to try and get this to reflect correctly, but it seems to not want to take. Any advice from the hive?

What are you trying to achieve:
I would like my text in the CMS in a “name field” to reflect the following format. (NAME | INSTAGRAMNAME) ----- it is defaulting to (NAME |. ) After preview and publishing.

What have you already tried:
I’ve tried to manipulate various settings within the CMS and the design of the text on the pages. I have yet to have a consistent result.

Hey @Adam_King!

That does seem a little odd. From my experience, the way text is formatted in the CMS is the same way it’s formatted on the live site. Which field type are you using for text?

I assume you’re using a repeater and dataset to make the connection to the CMS and display the data

Hey @noahlovell, thanks for getting back to me!

So I’m inheriting the build a bit, but it seems to be just a standard text field (T). That is correct for the repeater and dataset to my understanding and from what I’m seeing. Here is a screenshot of the internal CMS with the field highlighted. I have a meeting today with the original builders so hopefully, I can group them into the solution, but any advice is very much appreciated! It is strange that it is being this temperamental.
