@jeff-haskins
As I have stated you can can manually go into the members section on your site dashboard and manually change their email yourself.
seems a bit ridiculous of wix if the user updates their email on the wix site and then still has to use another email to log in…
I’m trying to figure out a work around so a new manager can take over a page without having to recreate everything.
@mikemoynihan99 I am not seeing where I can change a site members email.
@mikemoynihan99 That only changes contact email or adds another email (they can add mutliple contact emails. It will not change sign in. This is really horrid for dealing with businesses as members. Got to find a workaround!
This is not good at all. Not sure how to build a platform with possibly thousands of site members and have this kind of issue looming for the future, especially since a majority could be businesses. And people change platforms and emails. What happens if they go totally messenger and do away with email and forget password?
I’m curious how it works if a person has signed up with Facebook…how do they get a password reminder?
ya like I said seems a bit ridiculous of wix if the user updates their email on the wix site and then still has to use another email to log in…
I wonder if wix “continue with facebook” login would break if a person changed their email address in their facebook account
@mikemoynihan99 I’m more concerned about how a business can possibly be a member. If that employee leaves, no way for a new person to take over the membership use.
@mikemoynihan99 Ok…figured out a mickey mouse workaround. Every dynamic page that has a owner based filter on dataset will have to have two such datasets…First is filtered by Owner is logged in user, then second filters the User Id to equal User Id in that first dataset. If a new person takes over account or changes email, you then have to just change the User ID on new account to match the old account. However, I do not think that will still allow them to make edits…they will have viewing capability, but not author permission to change database…sigh
