I was really excited about the recent update to Masters as I thought this would finally allow me to connect a dataset to my Master section, but that doesn’t appear to have been added. Any plans on when this feature will become available?

Glad to hear you’ve found the new masters panel, although I’m sorry to hear it’s not got all the features you need (I’ll pass the feedback along). In the meantime, it is possible to connect the Masters elements to data via code
This would be awesome for banners, and announcements that can/should be displayed in the header.
I have multiple sites where this exact thing would be super helpful. Creating banners or announcements that are easily and quickly updatable/modifiable right from the content manager. Pairing that with the content managers ability to hide/show visibility. This would be a great feature.
