I am new to using corvid and possibly need to add some code to accomplish the following. I want to run a contest on my web site, where at the end of a specified period the user with the most points wins one of my products that I sell. I have “Planted” 50 Easter eggs (small icon size) throughout my web site. When the user hovers over an egg it will either show stars (gif) and only 1 egg will show WINNER. The object is for them to search my site for the Winner. When they click on the Winner, they will get 20 points for that day. They can play once per day and each day I will move the location of the WINNER. I have created all of this including the page that displays a leaderboard. I have a database in sandbox mode that will capture the Name, email, maybe profile picture and the total points. The piece that I need help with is, capturing this information from the user and updating their points for the day. I envisioned I would send them to a WINNER page where they would input their email. If their email already exists on my file and it has not been 24 hrs since their last win, I would then add 20 points to their Total points. If their email does not exist on my database, I would prompt them for additional information such as full name and profile picture and add a new record for them with 20 points. If they have already won within 24 hrs I would send them a msg, “Try again tomorrow!”. I would appreciate anyone’s help on these few sticking points! Thanks!
