Create folders and subfolders under Wix Databases

It would be a big help if we could create folders or subfolders if we have multiple collections for the same subject in the database section.

Hi Veronika,

Can you please describe what you try to build and why you need such subfolders.

Shay

Hi Shay! I’m trying to build a page that show’s vehicles for sale. To better organize the datasets I think being able to create folder’s and subfolders would be a big benefit so that we don’t have to continuously scroll.

Hi @Veronika McAninch ,
Can you please elaborate on the scrolling?
Do you mean that your website visitors have to scroll through a very long list of items?

If you like you can add a link to your website or a similar website so we can better understand what you’re trying to achieve and figure out the best solution.

Hi @noamca . No, sorry for the confusion. I mean for us as the editors on the backend. Basically creating folders under the database to better organize dataset collections.
For example I’ve attached a screenshot of my datasets. I’d like to create a folder that says Dates and under it I would put the CFIA-CFII, CFIA, CFII, and CFIS_Dates datasets. It’s like how Stores is already a folder and in that folder are the store products and collections datasets.

Hi @veronika-mcaninch ,
OK now I understand your issue.
1 question though- Is the data on those collections (CFIA-CFII, CFIA, CFII, and CFIS_Dates) similar?
If the answer is yes- I’d recommend creating 1 collection for all of them and add a filter to the dataset on your page.

Can this solve your problem?

@noamca That solves it perfectly, thanks!
