I have followed this help article. The pages still appear in search results though. They come under “indexed - not submitted in sitemap” tab in the Google search console. I did some research. here’s what Google Support has to say: To remove url permanently - make the page return 404 page not found. Google will take this into account and eventually remove the page from it’s index. So, one way to do this in Wix is to change the url of the indexed page so that it will return 404 error, which is what i have done precisely. And maybe then Google will take my hint.
