I have a very, very simple thing that to be honest should be already integrated in Wix Invoices & Wix Orders but anyways maybe we can do a work around with Velo for now until Wix decides to implement this feature if they ever implement it.
I will also add some screen shot so that everyone can understand in detail what I am requesting.
Issue I have:
I have a small Cake / Cookie Business and for example when a person wants to buy a Birthday cake they don’t want to purchase the cake one or 2 days before the event especially if it is a custom design cake that requires a lot of work. The customer will want to be organised and purchase the cake 1 month or 3 weeks before the event as an example. Maybe they want to buy cookies for a wedding that will happen in 6 months time.
The issue is that regardless if it is an order or something that we have to quote the customerThey accept it and then it becomes an Invoice. There is no way for us to be able to remember or pin point when the cake / cookies are required to be delivered.
So to the issue we get paid for the cookies / cake and then one month later we think all is well but we forgot to fulfill the order because we were not sure what date it was required. We need to open the Invoice or add the information to our Google Calendar and check it all the time. (There is nothing on the Wix Dashboard that allows us to check the orders based on Delivery.) Yes, you can check based on Unfilled but you will not to be able to quickly glimpse at the Wix Dashboard and know what is coming up for delivery.
In the orders pages you can select the gear icon on the top right-hand side and select Delivery Time, Delivery method and Tracking number which is perfect because this then adds extra fields in the dashboard which can also be sorted by.But the most important one is the Delivery Date.
Another issue that I have found is that if we quote the customer for the cake / cookie and they accept it there is not way that it can become and Order and no way that we can over ride it to show in any way in the order page so we can add the tracking numbers or fulfilled or unfulfilled.
The biggest issue is that if you have a busy day of calls, orders, quoting and payments it becomes very hard to filter out and remember what you need to manually add to the calendar. It would be great to automate the process or when the customer pays they are already be aware because of the quote that you did what date they will be receiving the cake or cookies.
The Function / Purchase flow when buying through Wix:
Currently there is 2 ways to purchase. eCommerce add to card and check out. (Still not option to select a date for when the would like to receive the delivery). Doesn’t need to be anything fancy it could be a calendar or just a standard text field. Doesn’t need to be so in-depth that it requires a time but that would also be a good feature to have as well just in case the client prefers AM or PM delivery.
The second one is provide a quote to the client, they accept the quote it becomes and Invoice and then pay for the Invoice then you commence the making the product if it is required right away.
