Now that we are able to use the file upload button, when will users have the ability to download these uploaded files in their original size.
Example - a print shop that takes customer orders for flyers and brochures requests that clients upload their files. The printer would then need the ability to download the file so he can send it to print. Currently the when the file is uploaded, the format is shrunken and is downloadable only as a thumbnail image.
This is also needed for a job recruiter who wishes to download resumes in jpeg or pdf format.
Thanks
Hi bill.ades,
For an image, you can do so now by connecting the field to an image on the page.
For a document, we are working on the binding experience so that you will have the ability to link the upload directly to the database. From the database you will have an option to download, as well as the ability to connect the document to any element with a link property for download.
For now, you should see the uploaded document in your media library as a file that you can download from there.
I checked initially before submitting this feature request and the images have never appeared in media library, nor were they downloadable when I connected the image to a page field. Just tried it now and they are not even uploading to the database, but hopefully this will all be resolved when you enable document uploads. Thanks
I have noticed the same thing as Bill.
