Download option in cell not working?

I don’t see anything happening when I try to use the download function within an image cell. I was expecting to be able to retrieve the image - will this not work with a URL to an external image?

Here is a screen shot of me bringing up the menu for a cell. Since I have a download option, I am assuming I can download the image in this cell, which would be very useful. However, I’m not sure anything happens at all.
