That was not their issue.
They said they were having problems connecting a dynamic link from a repeater. Well they were not connecting it correctly.
They were trying to connect the link via the LINK icon instead of the DATA icon (which is the little squiggly line).
So in the screenshot they shared above, they are showing the wrong way to connect it:
