Editor preview vs preview site

Hello,
I’m currently experiencing some major differences between my editor preview, and previewing the site from the “my sites” section.

First of all, I really wish the editor preview was full screen, so I can preview the site as is, such as removing the editor X and breakpoint information. Is there a way to do this?

Second, when using the preview site feature from “my sites” the fonts are displaying incorrectly. Most are displaying as set in site typography styles but some that are overridden simply won’t display properly. Some site font styles I’ve even changed and they still won’t display properly.

Which preview can I rely that will best match when the site goes live? What you see should be what you get. Thanks.

There shouldn’t be a difference. Can you share a screen shot of the layouts in both modes for a side-by-side comparison?

iI’ve had similar issues between editor to preview and it’s very frustrating. The UI is incredibly cumbersome.

only work around ive been able to figure out are to just add additional breakpoints. Which is another major annoyance because they don’t transfer from one page to another. Also when you switch over to preview make sure to readjust your preview breakpoint width at the top. Mine is never the same as when in the editor.

Thanks for reaching out. I would suggest checking out our articles on how responsive web design as adding more breakpoint should be for different changes.

I would also suggest checking tools like whatismyviewport.com to see what your viewport size to get a 1:1 of the editor vs the preview.

If not already using grids/stacks/layouters/repeaters to keep things organized, would suggest that as so things stay relative to each other.

Apologies for the late response, here’s an example of what’s going on. The correct font has been saved in my site topography styles. It previews just fine in preview mode, yet when I preview the site from “my sites” is displays incorrectly.

I was able to find a workaround updating the font instead of the theme.

The site is not yet live as I’m currently working on it. This is only referring to a comparison between the preview site from the “my sites” section and using preview in the site builder.

In that case, reach out to support so they can investigate. The link above sounds like a similar issue so might suggest updating the font instead of the theme.
