Editor stuck on loading - No access to my site (image)

I don’t know where else to turn to. Went through all official troubleshooting procedures, talked to an Expert over the phone, got an “Escalation Ticket Number” (1513437135) but it’s about 24h now that I’m locked outside of my Editor, which for no apparent reason to me, started to behave strangely (was not saving properly, was entering forever loops while saving/previewing) until after a Refresh it shut me out completely. This is what I see in my Dashboard Console.

Is there anybody to just tell me where are we at this moment, if I’m in danger of data/page loss and if there is a solution near? I was told I’d be contacted by somebody but this has not happened yet. I’m a paid customer, if this makes any kind of difference…

Oh @yisrael-wix it was about time, I’m 48 hours off the grid. locked out of my site. Thank you for responding! The ‘advanced team’ was given ‘24-48h’ to intervene but I’m still have to hear from them! I know you understand that I’m utterly worried about the integrity/loss of my data/pages/custom code.

@gemats 48 hours is equivalent to weekend :beers:

There shouldn’t be anything to worry about - even the backups have backups. I’ve already sent this on the QA.

Hey George - you haven’t been forgotten. Your site is being worked on. Can’t promise when it’ll be done, but they’re working on the issue now.

I regained access, as far as I can tell, but I’m hesitant to start working. I guess I’ll be waiting for an official confirmation.

Sorry you had to wait. I see I got notification 12 hours ago that your site was OK.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Seems that something happened to your site. Your site was fixed “by hand”, and the devs are now working on a more robust solution so this won’t happen again.

@yisrael-wix This is right now the status of my Dashboard. I can edit the site but is it safe to access the Editor?

@gemats did you reload the site or dashboard? I was told that your site was fixed so you should be OK.

@yisrael-wix Yes I reloaded, cleaned cache once again, all steps… also I see some strange things, like, the ‘Hide’ command inside the Editor, to Hide my pages, is missing…

@gemats Do you mean the .hide() function on an element? Or did you have your own function called Hide()?

@yisrael-wix No I mean the dropdown menu when clicking on each Page’s Settings, in the Editor. And that’s one thing I easily noticed upon re-accessing my Ediotr. Now, if I publish ALL my pages will be visible…

@gemats Hmmm, this might be the UI being changed. I see the same thing on my sites in the Editor. However, if you go into settings, you’ll get this:

@yisrael-wix But I DON’T see what you see in MY site… That ‘removed from Main menu’ option is not visible to me…

@gemats Hmm, that sounds weird. No idea why that should be. Let me do some checking on this.

Your site should be OK to work on, and it looks OK for me.

@yisrael-wix Ok, I guess I have to report back here to you, if this problem persists. I still can’t hide my pages in Site Menu. The option has disappeared after the crash.

@gemats OK - Wix keeps working on improvements, and all you are seeing is the “new UI”. The visibility of items in the menu is now managed from the menu panel.

I checked and your site is good and you should be good to go.

Of course, if you have issues report back here.

@yisrael-wix In your screenshot above, you have a menu command/option named “removed from main menu”, when you clicked on my HOME page. I understand that you are a top tier Dev and Admin and you may see things that end-users do not. And I’m glad this is happening in terms of system stability, integrity, etc.

The thing is, as already reported to and confirmed by a Wix Support Expert on chat that I contacted for another matter of mine earlier, that she couldn’t either understand why I can’t Hide Pages in Site Menus and why this option disappeared from where it normally resided all this time. She mentioned nothing about UI changes.

At the moment, I have disabled Menu navigation in my site. I have (I had, I deleted them) quite a few test1, test2, testetc pages or half-prepared ones that should not meet the public eye. Those, I can’t hide and as such, with all due respect to your personal efforts, I don’t have a good site and sure “not good to go”.

edit 12/29/2020: after some more research, it seems that the apparent coincidence of changing the UI and having my site crashed for 3 days, at the same time, led me to believe that ‘Hide’ option disappearance was somehow related to the crash. Anyway, still this option can’t be found anywhere near to where it was 3 days ago, but indeed, the functionality is now found inside ‘Manage Menu’ button in Menu properties button pane. Thanks @yisrael-wix for being on top of this matter and thanks for helping me one more time.
