At the moment, when a product is out of stock, the “shopping cart” button changes and the word “out of stock” appears.
It would be possible to have an option that automatically turns it into “order now”. So as to give the possibility to the customers to order a temporarily out of stock product.
It could be developed either in an automatic email or in a fake cart.

What an interesting idea … so essentially, customers would still be able to ‘order’ out of stock items. Are you thinking that once the item restocks it automatically pushes the order through or sends the customer an email notification? In that case, it sounds like it could be more of a waitlist.

Currently this option is not available. It ties in with a request that would notify customers once your product is back in stock. You can vote for it here .

I would be able to adapt to both options.
But surely the option to start the odin directly at the time of the restock would be more practical.
