Filter labels switch to one of the collection items when published

Why do the filter buttons keep changing ont he live site?

What are you trying to achieve:
Add a filter button to a dynamic list and have the button names appear correctly.

What have you already tried:
I have a repeater for the dataset. I added a input menu that is set to filter by a tag field (I need people to be able to select multiple elements from the list). The list is linked to the CMS dataset and the “filter to content” is set to the same tags. All the tags are showing up correctly. I have added a filter button to filter by tag. I have named the button “filter” and I linked to same the dataset and the filter content is linked to the same tags as the list. The filter buttons appear correct on the screen. When I click preview or I publish and review the page, all the filter button names change to one of the names in the tages list. I have tried deleting the buttons, adding them again, etc. The buttons work as the field and are are filtering the correct names, but the visible text is wrong.
The reset buttons do the same thing.

As an afterthought, I also tried setting the button to view no text or icon and then put another text box over with the word “Filter” and linking it to the CMS, and the same issue occurs, the text is showing the first item in the tag list, not the text assigned to the text box.

You are overriding the Buttons Label in the CMS linking panel.

Thanks did not know you could do that with a button and tags. Very simple reset button.

Thank you Mark! I thought connecting the label was a required link to make the reset work. I am not sure why anyone would want the text to reflect the first item in a tag list.
Problem resolved, and I will regain my sanity.
