Filtering a Dataset

I created an table which is linked to a collection. I copied the page, twice and changed the filters on the two subsequent pages. When I click manage dataset and change the filters, it changes the dataset links/filters on the other two pages. I tied changing the dataset name, I tried, deleting the dataset connection and adding another one with a different name. Nothing seems to work. In addition to changing the filter on the additional pages, I also wanted to change the columns. That is working because the table objects are unique. The datasets seem to be the same. Here is a link to the page which is supposed to be filtered by “missing”. The filters do work, but I removed them from the pages, so I can still see my list.

Not sure if this is a bug or user error. Probably the latter.

This sounds like a bug in our system.
I will ask our QA to reproduce and verify.
Thanks you!

Ziv, just one more piece of information for the QA team. I had a separate question about next/previous buttons working and submit. So I was trying to fix those and I believe the problems I am having are all related to the fact that it appears that there is only one instance of the dataset across the whole site. So if I use manage dataset to change from read or read/write or write only, it changes it for all of the pages. I changed the name of the dataset on one page and it changes it on all, not just the pages which are lists, but those which were designed for input / update. I am going to just hide pages impacted until resolved and load my data.

This is great function and I look forward to the fix.

Hello Sandy,
In the Editor we have an option to show specific components across the all site pages, for example we want to set and configure one header across the site pages - we can just drag&drop the component to the header, and it will be shown on all site’s pages.
In yours case, dataset has been added to the header - configured, added filter, changed name etc. - but placed on the header = “show on all pages”; means, that if something is connected to this dataset from different pages - will get the same settings/filters.

You simply can add a new dataset to each page, and configure the each one with relevant filters.

Thanks.

That makes total sense. Thanks so much . I’m excited. Love what you guys have done.
