I’ve learned my users find it increasingly difficult to track recent activity on my forums. I think one of the reasons is there is no visual indicator on the forum itself to show recent activity since a users last visit.
There are notifications, and there is a grid content selection for recent forum posts - but none of these make very much sense with a highly active forum - 40 notifications to scroll through every day is tiresome and not very efficient versus visually displaying which forum categories have new content in them…
What I’m asking for is a visual indicator on the category that appears when something new has happened since the last visit. Or some type of visual indicator to show new activity.
In a previous life with phpBB, this was easily achieved - but I’ve come to learn phpBB is not supported by WIX. A lot of things, come to find out, are not support by WIX…
So I come here for a glimmer of hope!
