I want to use both the forum and groups app on a community-style website but I am having trouble figuring out if something should be a forum topic or a group. Also, explaining the difference between the two apps to my client is a little difficult.

Any ideas on how to explain the difference and what should be a group vs a forum category?

Hi Patrick!

Groups are typically focused around one type of discussion (ie: designers in the UK, Nintendo Switch fans), whereas a forum is an open space for many different topics/categories.

Thanks! It also seems like groups is for smaller posts (like facebook groups) and forum is for more in depth posts.
