I too am looking for a work around on this issue, It looks like you wrote that in 22’ and it’s now 24’ and still no solutions. I have a gift shop and professional gift wrapping service so it’s a necessity I add gift wrap as an option but the only way I can think to add it is the same as you was the variant but then keeping track of the inventory becomes a very cumbersome issue. I’d love to know if you were able to find something out.
