Hi. I am not "Tech Savvy " but will tell you what I have always done - I copy the jpg and save on my P.C. & with the copy I edit it - crop - so that the photo, when round, has enough space on either side of actual picture- to look OK. I then open it with PAINT - and resize it - I try 75% or 50% and save a copy of it - I then upload it to my logo. I have found usually 50% does it - now- below is my photo- my logo should be in my photo of my profile picture - as you see- the bottom half is gone ( it was just naked shoulders ) and it’s the mouth and vapours that I’ve used as my LOGO. The original photo was almost 14.8 mbs- this one is 1.4 mbs ( a tenth of original size ) — Hope this helps you. — good luck
