So I asked about this problem when I called Wix support on another issue and it’s resolved! Turns out that the mobile menu button and associated code was from an old version. An advanced support specialist helped me update the mobile menu button in the editor and, shazam!, I can edit how that menu looks and the ugly zit head icon disappeared!
I had thought I was going to have to fix this with code.
All is well!
