Sorry, i do not know how to use VS-CODE automatically connected to the GIT-HUB and Wix. I do use VS-CODE manually, that menas → generating CODE in VS and then manually COPY-PASTE it to Wix site into an HTML-Component oder CUSTOM-ELEMENT.

If there is a more automated way to work with VS-CODE, GIT-HUB and Wix, i would also like to know how to do the SETUP.

Maybe you can make a simple example of what exactly you want to create in HTML ?

For example a simple menu?
Something else?

Even more then VS, i do use → JS-Fiddle for all HTML+JS+CSS codings to be implemented on a Wix-Website.

Wix Studio uses a visual editor, which means you don’t directly manipulate HTML files. The editor provides a user-friendly interface for building and customizing your website without needing to write code.

**Why Wix Studio Doesn’t Offer Direct HTML Editing:**

- **Accessibility:** Wix Studio aims to make website creation accessible to users of all technical backgrounds. By providing a visual interface, it eliminates the need for coding knowledge.
- **Control and Consistency:** Wix manages the underlying code to ensure a smooth editing experience and consistent website behavior across different devices.

**Alternatives for Customization:**

- **Wix Editor Features:** While you can’t access the raw HTML, Wix Studio offers a wide range of features within the editor to customize your website’s look and functionality. These include:
  - Adding and customizing sections
  - Editing text, images, and other elements
  - Applying styles and animations
  - Using pre-built components

There are people out there who likes to generate their own SOLUTIONS, without to be forced to use PREDEFINED-STUFF.

This one…

> Wix Studio uses a visual editor, which means you don’t directly manipulate HTML files. The editor provides a user-friendly interface for building and customizing your website without needing to write code.

…is also just for those people who likes to generate quantity not quality.
A Website without CODE → has in most cases absolutely low quality, a very poor CUSTOMIZATION-OPTIONS and any OUTSTANDING FEATURES created by your own. Just an ordinary MAIN-STREAM-WEBSITE using all the predefined ELEMENTS provided by wix.

The questioner is asking for CUSTOM-CODING to make his website different (NONE-MAINSTREAM / OUTSTANDING / INDIVIDUAL).

And this is why the user need the VS and also tootls like JS-Fiddle or Code-Pen to be able to manipulate and code HTML-JS-CSS files.

Either the ordinary Wix-Editor nor the Wix-Studio-Editor do provide a good userfriendly (integrated) HTML-EDITOR where you can create and edit your own HTML-creations and exactly this is the reason why the post-opener is asking. Another reason to use VS-CODE or other extern EDITORS is the fact that the Wix-Editor gets slow very fast if it comes to more complexity regarding your website.

And i surely could mention more reasons and examples, but this would explode the topic.

There are definitely developers who prefer the freedom and control of writing their own code for websites. Wix Studio offers a hybrid approach. It’s not a simple editor where you directly manipulate the code, but it does allow for extensive customization using Velo, its built-in coding environment.

Think of it this way: Wix Studio offers the benefits of a user-friendly platform with the ability to write custom code for specific functionalities. However, it’s true that for those who want complete control over the entire codebase, Wix Studio might not be the perfect fit.

There are other platforms available that cater entirely to a code-driven development process. These platforms offer maximum flexibility but require more technical expertise. Ultimately, the best platform depends on the developer’s preference for control versus ease of use.

**Correct, now we are going into right direction.**
**Agreed!**

This is why the post-opener is trying to find a connection between VS-CODE/Git-Hub and Wix, to be able to replace the poor integrated HTML-Editing-Option inside the Wix-Editor.

Yes, Wix do offer a lot, but again —\> **VELO is not HTML**.

VELO do not really like HTML. Wix do not really like those who creates their own solutions, this is why the integrated HTML-EDITOR inside the Wix-Editor is that poor without any options and features (just a little input-field where you can drop and save your HTML-CODE, that’s it) by the way, the same for handling the CUSTOM-ELEMENT (at least here you can generate an own file). 😊

Well at least you have the possibility to COPY and PASTE and use the HTML-Comp or CUSTOM-ELEMENT for your own solutions and creations.

**Wouldn’t it be cool to have a JS-Fiddle or CodePen like editor-environment, directly integrated inside the Wix-Editor?**

-simple
-user-friendly / code-friendly
-easy to understand

But Wix is now how old? Did anybody even tried to generate such an oppertunity/option to integrate such an html-editor directly inside the Wix-Editor?

The answer is → NO ← and also the WHY-QUESTION has been mentioned here.

> Dear community and WIX developers, Although the WIX Code editor is a fine product, many will agree that nothing beats your own set-up. Having the code on your local machine brings practical advantages such as (git) version control and unit tests. These become a must for bigger projects, in my opinion. Right now, I am developing in WebStorm and when I want to try out or publish the changes, I have to manually copy over the code, file for file. Does anybody from the community or maybe a WIX deve…
