# **What is the Wix MCP?**

The [Wix MCP Server](https://www.wix.com/studio/developers/mcp-server) gives AI tools like Cursor, Claude, and VSCode the ability to use Wix documentation and APIs. This means that it can help you perform tasks that apply directly to your Wix sites. You can also generate Wix SDK code.

# **How do you set up the MCP?**

Here’s a detailed tutorial on installation and best practices for prompting.  
We’re using the [Cursor](https://www.cursor.com/) IDE in these examples. They have an awesome free tier if you’re just looking to try it out!
