Hurdle with Update of Bookings app

It looks like the bookings app, since it has been updated, will no longer take you to the next available session you can book for a Booking Class (not Courses or Appointments). It seems as though customers are now required to navigate through the dates or click on the “Check the next available date” link to be taken to the next available session. This isn’t very user friendly, specially on mobile.

For Booking Classes there’s no really any purpose in displaying a week or date that doesn’t include a session that has the option to book. IMO the calendar should display the next available session to book. The Booking Class service in this screenshot has sessions with openings in January…

It’s nice to meet you, I’m Erez from Wix Bookings team.
I understand your pain and I want to let you know that we recently worked on improving the next availability functionality so users could personalize it according to their need.
As part of that, site owners could define the default date to be presented in the client’s’ calendar once they land on this page. there will be two options:

  1. Display the current date
  2. Display the next first available date

Attached is an example of how it will look like on the User Settings page.
The feature is expected to be rolled out in the coming week by May 23rd.
