whenever i click any images, i want them to go to another link (this will be detail page of any individual picture) so anyway, i want every images go to different blank links which i will design each, but i dont want to see my menu. i mean i need to hide them
i just want them to reach that link via the image i click. im not sure if am clear but will be glad if you help me. in wix editor i could hide pages and give them links.
Hi, Okan. Do I understand you correctly that you are asking how to exclude these pages from your menu? In Wix, you ‘hide’ the page. However, in Editor X it works exactly the opposite way: By default, the menu is empty. You must add each page in order to have it show up in your menu. So, to ‘hide’ a page, you simply don’t include it in your menu.
If you’ve already added it to the menu, you can remove it via the Manage Menu functionality.
When I click on an image, a blank page should open there. I will design different detail pages for each picture.
but I couldn’t find how to do this. but I don’t want the links of those detail pages to appear in my hamburger menu.
in short, how can a new page be opened when I click on an image? I want to design that page. In the wix editor this was very easy. when i add a page. then i was able to hide that page. after, i was giving a link to that page from the gallery options. and user could go to the detail page when he clicked on that picture.
I’m assuming that you are hand-assigning the links, not getting them from a dataset, since you don’t mention that. To assign a link to an image, you should select the image and then, from the menu, click the link button. You’ll be presented with a list of options for assigning the link. One of the options permits you to pick a page on your site.
for example when you hit an image it goes to another page. in wix editor i could add a page from the menu and hide that page, after inside the pro gallery i could connect the image to that hidden page.
i exactly want to do that.
i need a blank page first. every image goes those pages. after i design those pages seperately.
@jim75924 yes, those were not dynamic pages. every page will be different than other. this is an agency website, every image will go to case study page like different videos, texts, images etc.
Create your detail page (it can be blank or fully designed)
On the main page, select the matching image and assign the link using the mechanism I’ve described above
The detail page will not appear in your menu. Unlike Wix, there’s no need to ‘hide’ it. It simply won’t appear unless you ask it to.
If that doesn’t answer your question, can you tell me which piece isn’t working for you? Are you unable to assign the link? Is the page showing up in your menu?
but on the other hand how can i do that in wix pro gallery. forexample i have 25 images. i create 25 pages. and name them 1 to 25. after in pro gallery i will link the image to relevant page. but i couldnt do that
In addition, I recommend that you keep all the information in the database to avoid creating a lot of pages with a same layout (per page of the details on the image). https://www.editorx.com/academy/lessons/content-manager
