Do not overload your pages with high quality IMAGES at the very beginning when your page is loading. This will make your site slow. Instead use techniques which first loads your site directly and fast in less high resolution and and after page has been loaded reload images with higher resolutions.
- Wix is recommending to use JPG over PNG to improve performance. However, it is also mentioned that " all images are converted to WEBP ". So, isn’t it better to upload all images in WEBP?
i think using webp format is not a bad idea.
