Hi Dena and WELCOME! SEO is a really long process I am doing it since 2013 and I still learn every day new things ;-)! There are so many factors which you have to take into account besides the wix seo wizard guidelines ;-)! But for the basics its a good introduction! Sometimes you have to THINK OUT OF THE BOX 
in competitve niches or local businesses! SEO is for me the best way to do my own projects - and have a stable income through this process! In that case - you can do what YOU WANT and how you want ;-)! Best Luck.
