Is it possible to password protect a page only in a secondary language?

I would like to password protect pages only in a secondary language and leave the pages in the primary language accessible to all.

I am working on a wix classic website and the translation of pages in a secondary language is in process but has been set up as “visible”.
If I set this secondary language as “hidden” then google returns an error 404 for those secondary language pages which is not great for my SEO.
As a result, I would like to password protect the pages of my website only in this secondary language so that it is not accessible to the public in the meantime that the translation is properly completed.

Is there a possibility to do this or alternatively to hide the secondary language pages without creating an error 404?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, I tried this but this also leads to the page in the primary language being password protected, which I do not want.
Is there a way to password protect a page only in a secondary language without doing so for the primary language at the same time?

Thank you for your prompt answer.

I am not sure to understand what you mean by this.
Could you elaborate please?

Namaste,

Hope you are well.

Wix allows you to make changes to individual language pages in the editor.

Have you tried selecting the language in the Editor, going to page menu, and set the password protection for specific language?

No this is not doable. Password protecting a particular page will secure it for all languages. There’s no option to set a password only for a particular language.
