Is it possible to create a booking website where visitors can add machines/products to a cart and check out without making a payment?

I’m using Wix Studio. I have a client who runs a machine rental business. My goal is to design a seamless customer experience that allows visitors to add the machines they want to a cart and check out without making a payment. This system will serve strictly as an online booking platform, as customers are required to visit the store to pick up the machines they’ve rented.

At the moment, I’ve set up Wix Forms to let customers select the machines they need and submit an inquiry. I also tried Wix Bookings, but it’s primarily designed for services, and my client has hundreds of machines to manage.

It’s crucial that the checkout process does not involve any payments, as per the client’s requirements.

You can use CMS to create a pseudo product page.

You can use Wix Stores and use settings for manual/offline payment.

That’s a great idea. However, it needs to capture the date hire info. Wix stores doesn’t have an option for dates to be included.

The closest thing on Wix Stores would be to setup delivery date for the entire order, not for individual products.

Anything beyond what wix offers in Bookings, Stores, etc, would require coding.

Or you can look for an external app that does what you want —— an embed it on Wix.
