Dear Wix-Developers,

when you release a new feature in an old application, please do not activate any new features on the live website.

Example: The FAQ-App: the new category settings and what to show and what to hide.
This thing has been activated automatically on many of our websites. Which is not good, because on some websites, there are no categories and that’s why, it is funny to see a category named “General13” .
At the same time, I have noticed on many website, that the questions were duplicated or new categories with duplicated questions were generated.

It is not really nice, when the client calls and complains about something you haven’t got a clue about.

I have experienced the exact same problem. It took me a lot of time to fix it on all my websites that use these FAQ modules. Luckily I found out the issue before my clients did. But in the future, it would be nice if we have the option to update an application before it is published on the live website, so we don’t get surprised.
