Hi, I have this menu with sub-menus. As my design is based on these white stroke rectangles I should have one surrounding each menu section that leads to each page of the website. However, as I hover one section that has sub-menus, there are no margins between the words and the rectangle, as you can see in the print screen below. In the inspector panel there is no option to control the width of each menu sections and the sub-menus, only the whole width. And even that does not help with the sub-menus.
Anyone has a solution?
To the Editor X team, I think these design details are very important for the websites and you should pay a bit more attention to the design panel, adding more text, spacing and customization options for normal items and hovered or selected items. Thank you!
@fsurrador thank you for bringing this up
there are not this many options for submenu customization at this point, we can relate how important submenu customization is for you and your feedback will be forwarded to our developers. Along with this, I would like to offer you to try using separators, this option could match your UI idea
That option would work for creating the lines in-between the words of the submenu like you have done. But I don’t seem to have that option when I select my menu, only the “background” and “submenu background” like you see here. How can I see the separators?
Although that’s a great suggestion that relates very well to my interface design ideas, that was not quite what I was talking about before. My question was related to the left and right margins of the words, there is no spacing option that gives me more space between my words and the stroke of the rectangle, like shown below. If you had any solution for this that would be great!
hmmm, could you share with me the site link, so I will take some time to take a closer look what possible can be done here? @Rob tagging you for visibility, maybe you will be able to find some workarounds with separators and margins faster than me
The separators depend on the menu chosen since they have different designs. From what I can see with the submenu, the spacing of submenu container depends on width of the containers. I tested it on my end and by increasing the width of the menu, I was able to add more room around the text.
Not quite the solution I was looking for since I have no space to increase the width of the menu, but thank you for your time and effort to solve my problem, I appreciate it!
