Mandatory Field for Swedish Personal ID in Booking Form

Hello everyone,

I am running a service-based business in Sweden and I am currently using Wix Bookings for customer appointments. To reduce the issue of “no-shows,” I would like to add a mandatory field in the booking form where customers must enter their Swedish personal identification number (personnummer) when booking a treatment.

The purpose of this is to ensure that we can identify the customer and, if necessary, issue an invoice if they fail to show up for their appointment.

My question is:

  • Is it possible to add such a required field in the Wix Bookings form?

  • If so, how can I configure the form to validate the Swedish personal ID format?

  • Are there any best practices or limitations I should be aware of when collecting this type of information through Wix?

Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated.

You can create an additional form your clients see as they complete checkout, which covers the entire order the client makes.

I recommend also reading about storing personally identifiable information (PII) in the form as a personal ID is sensitive information that should be stored accordingly.
