I feel like I am losing my mind. I am 90% sure that I used to be able to upload multiple images at once into the Media Gallery field type within my databse.
Right now I am only able to add images one at a time, which is very painful since you have to navigate to the folder containing your gallery images after each individual upload as wix likes to promote their “Media from Wix” everytime you open the media library.
Have I lost my mind or did they change this? When I select more than one image to add to the gallery it says “You can only choose one file”
See the attached image. Thank you in advanced for your help.
I thought the same thing – I could have sworn I used to be able to upload multiples.
And yes, it’s really annoying that you always return to the ‘media from wix’ page rather than your own uploaded media. For that matter, I’d prefer to be returned to whatever media location I last used, since I organize media in folders and subfolders. Repeatedly navigating back to the right subfolder is painful.
Let me also add that – for me – the gallery media organizer has been really flaky lately, too. It’s taken multiple tries to get some images loaded into it.
@jason-wadsworth Hmmm. I’m building a gallery outside of a collection now, and the ability to add multiple images is available. I suspect I was confusing that outside-of-a-collection experience with the experience inside a collection. Apparently they work differently. Of course, that doesn’t change the fact that the mechanism within a collection is annoying.
Thank you for your response! Sorry for the delay. I chose to ignore this issue in hopes that it would fix itself soon. I wonder how you are building the gallary exactly.
I have a dynamic page and each page needs to reference a different gallary. I can manually add a gallary to a page and it works great, but if I need to add a gallary to a specific item in a dataset it is this very painful process of adding one photo at a time
Has this been fixed yet? Adding one picture at a time has slowed my turnaround around significantly.
I agree, I think Editor X should fix this!!!
