Hi there, looking for a real minimalist template with simple menu on the left and also portfolio page that start with large image then just horizontal scroll With contact sheet under if we want. I think this is really the most simple and minimalist layout for portfolio but to my eyes, as photographer the best way to share works and projects. what do you think?

regarding menu on the left, have you tried Compositions > Sidebars?
