Hi all, I am not a coder, though I wonder whether or not it is possible to minify Wix Javascript, as GTMetrix shows it as the main problem while loading the website?
There really is no way to minify Wix Code. It’s doubtful that it would make any difference. Not sure how GTMetrix arrives at their conclusions. The quality of the users’ code is more likely to have an effect than the quantity of the code.
Hi Yisrael
Im showing you my website GTmetrix, it seems it should be done from Wixcode side.
Any suggestion?
Thanks,
DA
Wix performs optimizes site libraries and resources as part of the rendering process. The savings indicated by GTmetrix are minimal at best, and are estimated without full knowledge of the inner workings of a Wix site. A savings of 49K (if in fact possible) is not even a blip and would have virtually no effect on peformance.

Hey, I am having super fun with building my WIX website, the user interface is really awesome. The issue that I am facing is my site takes almost 20secs to load on mobile devices and 15secs on a desktop. I don’t understand how do I tackle the page loading issue. For the first 10 secs, my site shows some weird blue mark that I haven’t even designed, and then it takes another 10 secs to load my actual page. Can’t afford to have a slow mobile website, can we?
On the other hand the WIX support team is a bit unreachable because it asks me to log in to my account and when I do, it again redirects me to the same page and asks me to login…its happening on loop thus unable to book a callback.
Can help?
HI Punit, It’s probably best to start a new thread on this topic, as many users likely have performance tips for mobile. And here are some of Corvid’s Best Practices articles , which also might help. And note that Wix is constantly working on performance improvements. Thanks!
