Mobile Browser shows string "page content" in upper left corner (in German: "Seiteninhalt")

Hi, this may be a tricky question perhaps to be picked up by WIX colleagues.

Symptom:

The mobile version (only) shows the string “Seiteninhalt” (“page content”) on the left upper corner, just on top of content. I have found no way to get rid of it.

Error search so far:

  1. is it on all phones - YES, on the 2 we tried (Samsung, Huawei)
  2. is it browser-dependent - NO. I tried Opera, Chrome and DuckDuckGo
  3. is it a problem of the header section only , or of a specific top section- NO. I appears even without the header being displayed, and on top of any first section
  4. Is it a problem of a specific page - NO. it appears on all pages
  5. Does it appear also pages that are created new - YES.
  6. Does it change to English when I set the site to English and re-publish (it was in German) - NO.

When did it first start?

I am not exactly sure. But I think it started after I had added and then removed the Member Invitation flag for the mobile version.

Attached a mobile screenshot with a new test page. Of course you can open any page.

Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the initial investigation and detailed information.
There is custom code in the site that was written with the string “Seiteninhalt” in it.
To fix this, you need to access your custom code window from the Dashboard and delete the unwanted text.

Thanks for reaching out

Oh, thank you!! Why didn´t I think about it as ex-developer??? “Appears on all pages, must be global, where are global things defined…”
