New Feature Alert: Html iFrame

Hi Krista
This function used to be there for me. But right now it has a problem so it looks like this instead of having the field for pasting code.

Is there an update on the HTML iframe working? I’ve tried adding code and there no longer is a box to add code to.

@lassewind I’m seeing the same issue. Were you able to find a solution? Thanks.

I’ve opened a critical bug two days ago, I hope it will be fixed soon. However, maybe more people need to do the same in order to push it…

Thanks. Good call. Yes, I’ll open a case as well.

I made a support ticket yesterday (waited to see if it fixed itself). How do you make this critical bug thing?

I’m happy to report that we are back in business! I just checked and it is now back working.

Nice to see that bugs are being handled

@lassewind
I do this only when it is really critical, like I had to fix something and I couldn’t…
Help->report a Bug and then:

Amazing! Thats true. Thank you to whoever fixed this.

Dear wix team,

I have a question is there perhaps a max line count for html5 code used in a iFrame?

I made a book using html5 and javascript I reached 33 pages and everything works fine. Now I wanted to add page 34 and it stopped updating the iFrame however when I test my code locally it works.

I wish you a lovely day,

Maarten van Gaalen

Also I must add this because it took me a long time to find this it works for most browsers but when using a iframe and you don’t want that annoying blue selection thing add this to your main div in your html code:

-webkit-tap-highlight-color:transparent;

Hi Kazrain, sounds very good to me and seems to work. Thank you so much also after 1,5 years :wink:

Can I use an iframe on a dynamic page and populate it with Embed code put in a database?

I need this so badly.

Yes absolutely you can. I’ve done it with YouTube playlists, Bandcamp audio players, Google maps etc, it will be the same for any embed code I reckon! There’s a post of mine above explaining how to do it but I can go through it more specifically for your needs if you want?

@themusingsofmaars hey, it’s not yet possible. You can do it if you’re embedding something with a URL/a website…but I’m using html embed code for a 3rd party form.

They just release a feature in the old Wix Editor called ā€œRich Contentā€ that you can put in a database/collection that looks like will work for my situation. But it’s not yet available in Editor X unfortunately.

I got really excited cause I’m launching a website at the end of this month that that feature would be super useful on. But alas…gonna have to do manual pages instead of dynamic for now.

@corey Oh that’s interesting to know, I assumed there’d be some kind of embed out there that would cause issues that I hadn’t come across yet!

Even if it’d be a pain you could try to create that dynamic embed section of your website in the old editor to see if it works and direct all the other links on your real site to that new ā€œsub-siteā€ and vice versa so they appear as 1 cohesive website… not a great solution but at least you could use it as a test for the Rich Content stuff at the very least… I’ve been tempted to do similar things myself as some parts of Editor X are laughably behind (STILL after all this time somehow) lol,

Hopefully a better solution comes your way swiftly or the manual pages aren’t too time consuming for ya! (and at least you should be able to use them as a template for the dynamic version once that becomes possible!)

Good luck with the launch also!

I try to embed a Shopify buy button, I tried everything and nothing works, can you please help me? I am really stuck and I cannot fix it on my own… It just does not work… :frowning:
